Obituary

Judy A. Hansberry - Speich, 83, of Rockford, IL passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. She was born on August 16, 1938 in Rockford, IL to Kenneth and Gladys (Gustafson) Eychaner. She graduated from East High School in 1956. She married Jack P. Hansberry, Jr. on October 18, 1958 and married Harold E. Speich on February 24, 1977. She spent her life raising her family and volunteering in Rockford, IL. She was Manager of the Gift Shop and Volunteer at St. Anne Center for 20 years and served on the Auxiliary Board of Directors of St. Anne Center. Her greatest joy was being a Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother. She enjoyed time with her family and visiting with them as often as possible and staying connected to her High School circle of friends through their monthly lunches.
She is survived by her sister Vicki L. (David) Fuchs; sons John P. Hansberry, III. (Karry Book), James M. (Julie) Hansberry, and Joseph D. (Sara) Hansberry; her grandchildren Tracey M. (Alex) Redd, Megan A. (James) Poisel, Sarah C. (Matt) Dinger, John P. Hansberry, IV., and James N. Hansberry; her great grandchildren Kathleen E. (Mike) Shuck, Alexander E. Redd, Jr., Lucy Redd, Roan A. Poisel, Sage J. Poisel, Jack M. Dinger, Jr., Joseph M. Dinger, and James M. Dinger; her great great grandchildren Jolynn and Waylyn Shuck.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husbands, her sister Nancy J. Bachrodt, and her daughter-in-law Joyce M. Hansberry.
Cremation rights will be accorded. There will be a private memorial service with family at a later date. Private burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
