Shirley M. Abraham 1928—2016
Shirley M. Abraham, 88, formerly of Rockford, died at 5:38 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in Polo Rehab. Born on July 12, 1928 in Rockford daughter of Samuel and Fannie (Alton) Puckett. Predeceased by her former husband, LaVerne Abraham. Formerly employed by J. L. Clark for 10 years. She attended First Church of God. Shirley enjoyed travelling with her family. Survived by daughters, Beverly (Tim) Taylor of Texas and Diane (Steve) MacDougall of Roscoe; sisters, Janet Kliebe of Arcadia, CA, Elizabeth (Tom) Miller of Machesney Park, IL, Joan (Bruce) Spencer of Hanson, KY and Barbara Kirchner of Rockford; grandchildren, Shawn and Joshua Taylor, Brandon and Rebecca MacDougall; great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Otalee Puckett. Predeceased by parents; brother, Everett E. Puckett; and sister, Wilma Jean Rafferty; brothers-in-law, Lester Rafferty, Ken Kliebe and Tom Kirchner.
