JOHN CARL HAWKER III, 60 ROCKFORD - John Carl Hawker III, 60, passed away suddenly Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, in Shreveport, La. He was born July 4, 1952, in Rockford, Ill., and graduated from Keith School, Culver Military Academy and Guilford High School. He also attended Rock Valley College and went on to own several businesses. Survived by children, Laura (Rich) Fisher of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Eric (Nataly) Hawker of Rockford; grandchildren, Isla and Dylan Fisher and Gabriel Hawker; former wife, Colette (Wayne) Oliver; parents, Gene and Lorna Hawker of Florida; sister, Carol (George) Francis; brothers, William (Kathleen) Hawker, Mark Hawker and Kurt (Miranda) Hawker of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Trisagion service at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 108 N. Fifth St., in Rockford, with a private ceremony in Clearwater, Fl.
