Larry W. LaFayette 1944—2017
Larry W. LaFayette, 72, of Loves Park, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017. Born on September 9, 1944, in Rockford, son of Lincoln and Gunhild (Schlein) LaFayette. Married the former Barbara Decker. Larry was the owner of Eureka Window Cleaning, established in 1925, which he took over from his father. Larry was an avid golfer who enjoyed golfing with his son, grandsons and friends. He loved old, fast cars and was a NASCAR fan. Larry was always willing to help someone out, and he also enjoyed visiting with friends at the Riverside Dairy Queen and Doughboy Donuts on North Main Street. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara; son, Lincoln (Wendy) and their children, Jordan (Kevin Roeckner), Kyle and Kaitlyn; son, Jamie (Dawn) and their children, Levi (Meagan) Fisher, Kendall and Brady LaFayette; daughter, Holly (Jim) Fiorini and their children, Alex, Nate and Adri; newborn great-grandson, Case (son of Levi and Meagan); brother, Jerry; sisters, Cynthia (Dennis) Laumer and Marcia (John) Carmichael. Predeceased by his parents.
Service will be at 12:30 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2017, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of service in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
