Lois Lee Dixon 1956—2021
Lois Lee Dixon, age 65, of Belvidere IL, entered heaven after a 3-month fight with pancreatic cancer on June 23, 2021. Lois was born April 16, 1956, in Fort Ord, CA, the twin daughter of Robert and Alice (Huette) Lahne. She grew up in the central Illinois towns of Tremont, Hardin, & Vandalia. Lois then attended high school in Freeport, IL. Lois was proceeded in death by her parents & brother David Lahne. Surviving is her husband, Paul Dixon: daughter Kristina (Justin) Kain, son Joel (Miriam) Dixon, son John-Paul (Dr. Katie) Dixon, son Benjamin (KayeLani) Dixon, son Dr. Michael (Kia) Dixon, son Mark Dixon: two sisters, Lydia (Dr. Dennis) Bowen and Diane (Dr. Paul) Willis: and 9 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Crosspoint Church and 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. prior to the service. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Crosspoint Church (formally Temple Baptist) 3215 E State St., Rockford IL 61108. Private family burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Reception for all following the funeral at the Rockford Country Club 2500 Oxford St., Rockford IL 61103.
