PHYLLIS RAE CLARK, 87 ROCKFORD - Phyllis Rae Clark, 87, of Rockford died at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, in P.A. Peterson Center for Health. Born Jan. 12, 1923, in Rockford, the daughter of David and Gladys (Nystrom) Clark. Graduated from East High School in 1943. Attended Hamilton School of Commerce in Rockford. Worked at the former Pioneer Life Insurance Co., followed by 15 years as a billing clerk at Excelsior Leather Washer. Member of Temple Baptist Church and Missionary Guild. Survived by sister, Jeannine (Donald) Wilmer of Rockford; nephew, David (Lorna Rygh) Wilmer of Lebanon, Tenn.; niece, Lynn Wilmer of Rockford; grandniece; Tara Harris; and grandnephew, Jason Wilmer. Predeceased by nephew, Gary Wilmer, and grandnephew, Andrew Wilmer. Phyllis' family would like to thank the staff P.A. Peterson and Hospice Care of America, for their outstanding care, as well as special cousin, Mae Johnson and Dr. Michael Werckle. Memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15, in P.A.
