Obituary

Mary Lou Crooks, 93, of Grand Rapids, MN, formerly of Rockford passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025. Born February 21, 1932, in Geneva, IL, the daughter of Elof and Gertie (Johnson) Wall. Graduate of Rockford East High School. Mary Lou married Robert K. Crooks on April 24, 1953 at Bethany Methodist Church in Rockford. He predeceased her on November 2, 2009. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shephard. Mary Lou had a fondness of growing up in Rockford, loved being by the lake and she embraced her Swedish culture.

Survived by her son, John (Darcy) Crooks, James Crooks and Bruce (Melissa) Crooks; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also predeceased by her son, Steven Crooks; and brother, Ralph Wall.
