Obituary

Patricia (Pat) Venstrom passed away peacefully on December 17, 2022 at Kirkland Crossings Memory Care in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Pat was born in Minneapolis, MN. She was a lifelong resident of Rockford and graduated from East High School in 1942. Pat was a secretary at Barber Coleman Company from 1944 to 1951 where she met her future husband of 64 years. She was involved with Friendship Circle and Thrift Shop at Zion Lutheran Church for many years. Pat was also active in scouting as a leader for both the Girl and Cub Scouts. Her favorite pastimes were playing the organ, reading and playing cards. Later in life Pat became a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Rockford. She was always very appreciative of the caring and support that she received from the church and Pastor Chuck Olson in particular.

Pat is predeceased by her husband Evert, parents Ruth and Carl Youngberg, sisters, identical twin sister Polly with whom she had a special bond, Helen Nelson, Beth Spitz, and Phyllis Jenks.

Survived by daughter Debbie (Mike) DuCette, son Brian (Debbie) Venstrom, grandsons, Matthew (Rachel) DuCette, Mark DuCette, Luke (Laura) Venstrom, Andrew (Paige) Venstrom, great grandchildren, Jack and Brynn DuCette, Samuel, Reid, Claire, Alaina, Nathan and Abigail Venstrom. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service for immediate family members on December 27, 2022 with burial at Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Mark Lutheran Church in Rockford. Olson Funeral Home has been entrusted with Patricia’s arrangements.
