Obituary

DONNA M. ANDERSON, 80 ROCKFORD - Donna M. Anderson, 80, of Rockford died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, in SwedishAmerican Hospital, with her family by her side. Born April 27, 1932, in Monterey, Minn.; the daughter of Elmer and Alma (Johnson) Carlson. She married Dick Anderson on Oct. 21, 1956, in Garfield, Minn. Donna was a graduate of the Swedish Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of First Evangelical Covenant Church, serving faithfully through many ministries. Her true joys were her family and being a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and sister to: husband, Dick; children, Mark (Terri) Anderson, Brian (Liz) Anderson, Dawn (Tom) Blomgren and Pam (Scott) Swanberg; cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Lars, Travis, Sara, Tanner, Nathaniel, Erin, Lana, Peter, Eric and Joel; and sisters, Gloria (Jerry) Calloway and Judy (Jerry) Sandberg. Predeceased by her parents. An open house to celebrate her life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at First Evangelical Covenant Church, 316 Wood Road. Private family burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Family prefers memorials to one of the following: Covenant World Mission, 8303 W.
