CINDY A. WELLS, 62 ROCKFORD - Cindy A. Wells, 62, of Rockford, went home to her Lord and Savior, Thursday, September 10, 2015. She was born on February 3, 1953, in Monroe, WI. Cindy was a caring employee at Swedish American Hospital for 34 years, where she considered everyone family. She was the mother of many cats, and had a deep love for animals. She was a devout member of Rockford First Church for many years. Cindy had gone through many obstacles in her life, but remained forever hopeful. She had a strong faith and love for God that gave her wisdom and caring words for those in need. She is survived by her best friend Nan Staten; her 2 kitties, Bella and Elliot; and the entire staff at Swedish American Hospital, whom she considered family. A heartfelt thanks to Rhonda Perez and Family, JoAnne Behrens, Sheila Lupton, Doug and Laurie Veitch and Family, and Northern Illinois Hospice; for all the loving kindness they gave to Cindy. Cindy was reunited with her dear friend, Emily Weeden in heaven. She leaves behind her special friends Sue from PAWS, Deb Johnson, Joan Booker, Barb and Craig Bourbon, Candy Long, and Evonne Alexander. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015; at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108; with Elisa Williams officiating. Burial to follow at Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to service on Friday.
