CAROL M. REININGER CASEY, 69 BELVIDERE - Carol M. Reininger Casey, 69, of Belvidere, IL, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013. She was born May 7, 1944, the daughter of August and May (Magnhild) Reininger. She was a graduate of Belvidere High School and worked as a child care aid. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School. Carol deeply loved her family and friends. She had a passion for crochet and country music. She also loved bingo, blackjack, and other card games. She has always loved children and adored her grandchildren. Carol was a loyal friend. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Casey of Rockford; son, James (Rebecca) Casey of Rockford; two grandchildren, Donovan Heidenreich and Mychal Casey; two brothers, Gary Reininger and Terry Reininger; stepmother, Pauline Reininger; two step-sisters, Paula Kamman and Kathy Hatfield; and step-brother, Gary Crupper. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Thomas Casey. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013, at the Belvidere Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Scandinavian Cemetery in Rockford. A memorial fund has been established.
