Charles “Chuck” Holmstrom

Of Mukwonago, was called home on September 7th 2024 at the age of 80. He was the loving and devoted husband of Darlene Holmstrom (nee Lubinski) of 57 years. Loving father of Christopher (Micki) Holmstrom and Eric (Susan Keith) Holmstrom; proud grandfather of Josie, Maddi, and Mitchell Holmstrom. He is survived by his sister Judy (the late Otto) Peucker, nieces, nephews and many friends. Charles was preceded by his parents Carl and Anne Holmstrom, and his Aunt Helga Holmstrom.

Chuck was a pillar in his family and the community. He was active in the church and enjoyed helping people where and when he could. Growing up in Rockford, IL, he was mostly raised by his Aunt Helga after the passing of his parents. He had a passion for mechanics and flying. He spent many years as a corporate pilot and aircraft mechanic, and even passed his passion of flying to his son Eric.

When the boys were young, Chuck and Darlene took the family on many vacations to Three Lakes, WI. He and Chris really bonded over water skiing and he enjoyed teaching Chris about mechanics as well. His grandchildren,and the whole family, will miss family dinners and game nights at Oma and Opa’s.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28th at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran church (410 W. Veterans Way Mukwonago) from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given in memory of Chuck to St. John’s or the School Building Fund.
