James C. Schreiber, 76, of Rockford, died at 9:10 PM, Wednesday, June 6, 2007 in Springwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Born July 20, 1930 in Dundee, IA, the son of Arnold and Florence Dodge Schreiber. He graduated from Rochelle Township High School. James was employed by Rochelle Printing for 28 years, was a truck driver for 16 years, and a Rockford resident for 30 years. He served in the US Army from 1948-1952 during the Korean conflict. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. William Edwards and his staff. He is survived by sisters Audrey (Curt) Conant, and LaVonne (Elmer) Tripp, both of Rockford; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Graveside service Monday, June 11, at 1:00 p.m, in Scandinavian Cemetery, 1700 Rural St, with the Rev. Kathryn Whitney officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Arrangements by Fred C.
