Obituary

Dorothy Hanna Ericson, 88, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. She was born in Rockford on January 12, 1934 to Gunnar and Hanna (Johanson) Mattson. Dorothy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Nimble Fingers Knitting Group. She enjoyed playing Bridge, traveling, and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her son, Daniel (Alma) Ericson; daughter, Sandra (David) Tackes; grandsons, Carl (Courtney) Tackes and Ross Tackes. Predeceased by her husband, John Ericson.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am with a visitation from 10:30am until the service on Friday, March 25, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery, Rockford. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Salvation Army, Rockford chapter.
