Kenelm “Ken” Groff, Jr., 92, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Wesley Willows. Born June 27, 1929, in Rockford, the son of Kenelm and Harriet (Sundberg) Groff, Sr. Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. Ken married Suzanne J. Brannon on November 29, 1952. She predeceased him on November 4, 2019. He worked for Sunstrand before retirement. Ken was a member of SecondFirst Church, Rockford Country Club and U Club. He enjoyed Naples, FL and skiing in Colorado. Ken was an avid reader and most of all he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survived by his daughters, Linda (Steve) Nelson and Cynthia (Mark) Witte both of Arcadia, MI; grandchildren, Nicolas (Kate) Nelson, Drew (Lynn) Witte, and Christopher (Amber) Nelson; and great-grandchildren, Cassius, Bodie, and Louie. Also predeceased by his parents; and sister, Barbara Jane.

Private Family Funeral Services will be held at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford with Reverend Becky Erbe officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
