Ned E. Dickey 1926—2021
Ned Elwood Dickey, 94, of Tonto Verde, AZ, passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2021. He was born on May 20, 1926 in Worthington MN, the son of Ralph E and Myrtle I (Shelby) Dickey. He married Hjordes "Judy" Riste on June 11, 1949, and together they had three sons – Brad, Jim, and Kurt.
Ned loved working with people in the human resources field, and was employed with Green Giant and Sundstrand before starting his own business in 1965, now known as Dickey Staffing Solutions. Ned was an avid golfer and generally loved the great outdoors, which included many hunting & fishing trips to Canada with his family and friends. Fondly remembered by many from attending his Grandchildrens sporting events and his positive encouragement of all participants. He was a long time member of Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
After the death of his wife, Judy, he married Leah Rosenwinkle in 2010, and they have enjoyed 11 years together in Tonto Verde AZ.
Ned is survived by his wife, Leah; his three sons, Brad (Patti) Dickey of Plover WI, Jim (Claudette) Dickey of Middleton WI, and Kurt (Kate) Dickey of Caledonia IL; seven grandchildren (before being blessed with seven more when he married Leah); and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Judy, parents, Ralph E and Myrtle I (Shelby) Dickey; brothers Earl, James, and Ralph; and sisters Marion and Dorothy.
A Celebration of Life will take place on April 23rd, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:30 at Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club Rockford IL.
