Obituary

John Hansen, 61, of Lake Summerset, passed away suddenly on February 15, 2019. He was born on July 5, 1957 in Rockford, the son of Donald and JoAnn (Erickson) Hansen. He married Mariane Graham in 1996. John was a machinist for 37 years. He enjoyed flying drones, fishing, and driving the golf cart with his dog. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and the love of his life, Mariane. He will be dearly missed and will live in our hearts forever. He is survived by his wife, Mariane; children, Sarah Urso, Jennifer (Nic) Hansen, John Graham, Michelle (Ken) Decker, and Jessie (Donovan) Lynch; grandchildren, Katie, Megan, Kelsie, Sofie, Braydon, Brienna, Maddie, Gracie, Oliver, and Eden; siblings, Cheri (Rick) Leach, Jeff (Pam) Hansen, and Judy (Matt) Bozym; and Aunt Marge (Paul) Plociennik. Predeceased by his parents; and sister, Chris Goodwin. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 2nd Ave., Rockford, IL 61104 with Rev.
