Obituary
Barbara Marlene Semiche, 83, of Rockford, IL., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in her home after a long illness. Born May 24, 1937, the daughter of Clarence and Velda (Dreyer) Ritter of Elgin, IL. Barbara married Donald A. Semiche on October 4, 1958 in Elgin, IL. Donald preceded her in death in 2015. Barbara Graduated from St. Anthony's School of Nursing of Rockford, IL in 1958, worked for 44 years as a Registered Nurse in the labor and delivery units of both St. Anthony's and Rockford Memorial hospitals. After retiring, Barbara volunteered with OSF Hospice. Barbara was an avid Cubs fan, enjoyed knitting and loved her cats.

She is survived by her son, Jeffery (Sheryl) Semiche of Coffeen, IL.; brother, Roger (Margo) Ritter of Tenino, Washington; niece, Susan Ritter; grandchildren, Jacque (Samantha) Pariseau, Pierre (Rachel) Pariseau; great-grandchildren, Soleil, Jakey and Luc; very special friends, Jena Grimes and Jorie Fischer. Predeceased by her daughter, Teresa "Teri" Semiche; and granddaughter, Heidi Hasenzahl-(Holli) Kearns. The family would like to thank OSF Hospice for the amazing care and compassion they provided for Barbara and for her family.
