A song in her heart!
Louise E. Carlson, 75, of Rockford, Illinois, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 27, 2020. Louise was born on September 24, 1945. Louise was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and she and her husband Terry were married for 55 years.
Louise grew up in Rockford and attended Hallstrom, Lincoln, and East High Schools and was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church for over 75 years. Louise was a long-time dental assistant for Dr. Leo Sabien, who gave her her first and only job, which she loved. Louise also loved to sing and was a gifted soloist and choir member, as well as a member of the Christian trio, Day Star.
Louise lived her life for others with generosity, compassion, and empathy, and she was especially committed to God, her husband, and family. As her children and grandchildren grew she had a passion to see them come to faith and be discipled.
Louise is survived by her children Michael (Janet) Carlson, Tina (David) Cone, and Shaun (Beate) Carlson, and ten grandchildren who were the loves of her life. She is also survived by her brother Bill (Kathy) Hoffman, and sisters Sharon Colombi and Joyce Swanson, along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Carlson, and her parents, Stanley and Margaret Hoffman.
Due to Covid, a private family service will be held. The family plans to hold a Celebration of Life at Temple Baptist Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the Alzheimer's Association - act.alz.org/donate
