Obituary

Jean S. Dixon, 80, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2021 in North Woods Care Centre, Belvidere, IL. She was born in Milwaukee, WI to Earl S. & Frieda C (Penndorf) Griewski on January 25, 1941. She was a graduate of Holy Angels Academy in 1959, Milwaukee, WI and OSF St. Anthony School of Nursing in 1963, in Rockford, IL. She worked as a nurse in various places while raising her children. As long as she could, Jean never failed to lend her helping hands with kindness and love. Despite her loss of sight, she continued the activities she enjoyed: gardening, photography, playing the piano and volunteering.

Jean is loved and missed by her children, Michael (Pamela) Dixon, Suzanne Rose, and Darlene Fannan, 3 grandchildren, Carmela (Matthew) Hoeft, Anna Rose and Megan Rose. She is survived by a sister Mary Ellen (William) Hageman and a brother Robert Griewski.

Predeceased by her parents, the father of her children, William L. Dixon, her son, Thomas E. Dixon, her son-in-law, Gordon E. Rose and son-in-law, Michael R. Fannan.
