Obituary

Liesara (Sara) Bergman, 89, of Rockford joined the Lord on April 16th, 2022. Sara was born on January 22, 1933 in Grand Detour, IL, the daughter of Emma and William Stebner. She married Donald Bergman on August 3rd, 1957 and lived their lives in Rockford. Sara worked for a number of different companies in the Rockford area including Barber Colman, and 31 years at the Rockford Products Corporation. Known for her caring, happy personality and positive outlook on life, Sara always enjoyed taking care of her grandkids and spending time with her family. She also spent many enjoyable hours vegetable and flower gardening, and sharing an expansive train layout with her friends and family that she tirelessly built with her husband (Don). Sara loved her savior Jesus Christ and was a member of First Evangelical Free Church. She enjoyed going places with her husband Don who preceded her in joining the Lord.

She is survived by her family; Steve & Jane Bergman, Sue & Brad Stoecklin, Andrew & Vicky Bergman, and her grandchildren; Dustin & Kara, Greg & Mike, Brent & Kaylee, and several great grandchildren. The Bergman family wishes to thank the staff at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center and Northern Illinois Hospice.
