Obituary
Raymon R. Crouch, 85, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born July 28, 1935, in Munice, IN, the son of Raymond and Mildred (Patterson) Crouch. Raymon married Betty Haddin on June 26, 1955 in Oakville, IN. He joined the US Navy right after High School and retired after 20 years as a Chief Petty Officer Corpsman. He served as a medic in the Vietnam War and also on the USS Constellation along with many other appointments. After retirement, he worked in real estate and then in Waste Management for the city of Escondido, CA. Ray always kept busy; he loved to travel, visiting all 50 states as well as the Middle East and Europe. He was active in his church and enjoyed his family and friends, photography, fishing and tinkering with his computer.
Ray is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Bruce (Susan) Crouch, Carol (Stephen) Benson, Mark (Betty L.) Crouch, and John (Denise) Crouch; grandchildren, Daniel, Steven, Nikolaus, Sean, Jaron, Samuel, Jeremy, Sharla, Vanessa, Rachael, Christa, Celeste, Daniel, Kymberly, Christopher and Zachary; and 28 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Roger Crouch.
Private family services will be held.
