Obituary

ALAN L. BUSSEY Alan L. Bussey, 81, passed away July 8, 2015, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born March 6, 1934, in Rockford, Illinois; he was the son of Reinhard and Linnea (Larson) Bussey and loving husband of Janice (Johnson) Bussey. A U. S. Army Veteran and member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Rockford Lodge No. 102 for 58 years, he retired from A.M. International after more than 42 successful years of employment which took him and his family around the world. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Janice Bussey; children, Torin (Colleen) Bussey, Travor Bussey, Trenda (Lawrence) Klinsky, and Tadson (Linda) Bussey. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Teegan Bussey, Taylor Bussey, Torrey Bussey, Logan Klinsky, Noah Klinsky, Spencer Klinsky, Kolbin Bussey, and Dawn Chanchampa; and two great grandchildren, Jarred Bredesen and Ethan Chanchampa. He was predeceased by his parents, Reinhard Bussey and Linnea (Larson) Bussey; sister, Arlene (Bussey) Hendrickson; and brother, Sterling Bussey. He was a kind and gentle man"a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, as well as a six year lung cancer survivor. Funeral service will be at 12 noon, Monday, July 13, 2015, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, Ltd., 1001 Second Ave. Rockford, with Rev. Jay Quinn officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, Al would like to see you do a good deed for a person in need.
