Rodolfo Perez 1950—2018
Rodolfo Perez, 67, of Rockford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, June 22, 2018. He was born December 7, 1950, to Aurelia Gonzalez and Nicolas Perez but was raised by his grandparents Elisa and Esteban Gonzalez in Mexico. He married Rhonda Hicks on December 13, 1974. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Rhonda Perez; children, Sonya Perez-Harrington (Shane), Elisa Williams (Aaron), Marcos Perez (Monica) and Laura Tadder (William); beloved grandchildren, Simon, Brandon, Isabella, Ethan, Marcos Jr., Caden, Marcello, Zander, Mateo, Lainy, and Marisela. Rodolfo was a retiree of Warner Lambert (Mondelez),a member of NRA, and participated in AA. He loved being outdoors, animals, cooking, gambling and travel. Among his favorites were his cats, Fabio and Zorro, and his trip to the Holy Land in 2000. He was famous for his homemade salsa (Rodolsa) and his generous heart towards children and families in need.
