Obituary

Chanh Hokoth, 86, passed away on February 28, 2023 in Cherry Valley, Illinois. Born March 12, 1936, in Laos, daughter to Sanlee and Bom. In 1953 she married the love of her life, Thamsily Hokoth and in October of 1979 they moved to the United States in Rockford. Chanh took pride in raising her family, and had a very strong faith, she enjoyed being active at Ratanaram Buddist Temple.

She will be survived by those who loved her most, her husband of 67 years, Thamsily; her children Khameui Hokoth, Saeng (Pao) Sanameesai, Sao (Mindy) Hokoth, La (Sonephat) Vongprasearth and Latham Hokoth; her grandchildren Khamsaeng (Joann) Vongprasearth, Vicki Sanameesai, Dennis Sanameesai, Hunter Hokoth, Logan Hokoth, Kadynce Vongprasearth, and Brysen Vongprasearth; great grandchildren Landen and Lillian Vongprasearth. She is predeceased by her parents and three sons.
