JOSE'S OBITUARY
ROCKFORD – Jose R. Argumedo, age 80, of Rockford passed away peacefully Thursday December 2, 2021. Born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico on May 28, 1941 to Agripino Argumedo & Juanita Sosa de Argumedo. A devoted and proud Catholic, Jose was selfless, caring and generous to anyone in need, even donating his kidney to his daughter. He loved people and never missed a chance to chat with his neighbors and make new friends anywhere he went. An avid outdoors-man, he enjoyed being outside and tinkering in his yard. The best grandpa, Jose's true pride & joy were his grandchildren. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Herminia Argumedo (Martinez); children, Virginia, Marie and Javier; grandchildren, Fabian & Angel Martinez, Marianna & Aviana Argumedo and Jaqueline Lee & Joshua Omar Santillian; brothers, Andres Argumedo (Martha G de Luna de A.), Rogelio Argumedo Sosa (Virginia Uribe de A), Jesus Argumedo Sosa (Ofelia Argumedo), Juan M. Argumedo Sosa (Ma de Jesus Galindo de A); sisters, Rosa Elia Argumedo (Oscar Martinez),Ma Irma Argumedo de Sosa and Maria Elena (Bruno) Escamilla ; as well as numerous nieces & nephews and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his brother, Ramon Argumedo Sosa (Lilia Posado de A); and his parents.

Funeral Services held Friday December 10, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery, Rockford. Memorials to the family.
