Obituary

Pastor James “Jim” Williams, born November 28, 1954 in Providence, RI. went home to be with his heavenly Father on June 2, 2023. He was 68 years old. Jim passed away doing one of the things he loved most- gardening. Jim was a longtime resident of Rockford and was involved with several ministries throughout his time on Earth.

Jim is survived by his children: Karen Rene (Daniel) & Benjamin (Courtney). Grandchildren: Robert, Edward, Ashlie (Doug), Peyton, Hope and Charlotte. His sister Debbie (Skip). Mother in law Betty and many other family members that were adopted in his life through the years including but not limited to the Owens’ family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Miriam, his parents Gerald and Alma Dean and father in law Glen.

The funeral service will be held Friday June 9, 2023 at 10:00 visitation, 11:00 service with graveside to follow at Sundberg Funeral Home 215 N. Sixth S
