Obituary

Peggy Jo Anderson (Speich), age 63, of Rockford, IL passed away suddenly Wednesday January 11, 2023. Peggy was the daughter of Harold and Mary (Kranish) Speich. Peggy was a graduate of Auburn High School of Rockford. Peggy would go on to dedicate her life to the service of others. She worked at Fairview Lanes, Applebee's, Olive Garden, and most recently at Pinnon's. Anyone who met Peggy can attest to a smile and loving personality that could warm their soul. Above all, Peggy loved her family. Peggy's world revolved around her children, grandchildren, and her extended family. Boo-Boo, as her grandchildren called her, will be sorely missed.
Peggy is survived by her mother Mary Moorman of Aurora, CO; her children, Erica (Mark) Bernardo, Sarah (Alex) Fliehler, and Jordon Anderson, all of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Connor Bernardo, Maddison Bernardo, Bane Fliehler, and Nora Flieher, all of Rockford, IL; brother, Jeff (Laurie) Speich of Castle Rock, CO; sister, Betsy Larson of South Beloit, IL; sister Staci (Keith) Harmon of Aurora, CO; and brother, Billie Moorman of Champaign, IL.
Peggy is preceded in death by her father Harold Speich and her former husband David (Whitey) Anderson.
A public visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 09:00am at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 1243 N. Church Street, Rockford 61103, with a celebration of the Mass at 10:30am officiated by Father Ken Anderson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anderson Family.
