Obituary

Cellitti, Nello F. (1926 - 2007) Age 81 of Rockford, passed away at 7:20 A.M., July 12, 2007 in St Anthony Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born May 14, 1926 in Rockford, the son of Amato and Antonette (Cuppini) Cellitti. He married Linda Rich "Listenberger" in Las Vegas on December 8, 1998, and Nello was the love of her life. He was owner of Redi Cars and also owned many taverns which include Casbah, Hideaway and Nellos Cabaret. Veteran of the Navy serving in WWII as a frogman. Member of St Anthony Church and the St Ambrogio Club. Nello enjoyed tennis, horseracing and gambling. Survivors include his wife Linda, daughter Kathi (Richard) Capizzani, Son Nello Jr.(Debbi). 2 Stepdaughters Tami (Tony) Sparacino and Lisa Renfro WA. Grandchildren Brennen, Nello III, Tara and Jenny. Sister-in-laws Jean, Eva and Gloria. Special sister-in-law Billie Maring. Numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank his special cousin Donnie Cuppini for all his help and care. Predeceased by his parents, his brothers Fred "Prince", Joseph, Lalio "Flash" and sister Mary and his Former wife JoAnne. Funeral mass will be at 10:00A.M. Monday July 16, 2007 in St Anthony Church with the Franciscan Friars officiating. Cremation to follow services. Visitation will be at Gasparini & Oliveri Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Sunday July 15, 2007, and also from 9:30 A.M. until time of service Monday in the church. Thank you Lord for taking our loved one in peace for he was a lover and giver of peace. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family.
