LEWIS H. WILLIAMS, 73 ROCKFORD - Lewis H. Williams, 73, of Rockford died at 11:28 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, in SwedishAmerican Hospital after a brief illness. Born Jan. 20, 1935, in Mayden, Tenn., the son of Lynn E. and Ida (Clayton) Williams. Lived most of his life in Rockford. Married Dean Patterson in Kennett, Mo., on Feb. 7, 1958. Employed as a machine operator by Rockford Product for many years. Member of Rockford United General Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, Lewis Williams Jr. of Roscoe and Barry (Brenda) Holligan of Rockford; daughters, Carol Pearce of Rockford and Alicia (John) Sanford of Winnebago; grandchildren, Ryan and Evan Sanford, Crystal Lenz, Amy Smith, Barry Holligan, Sheena Holligan, Clorissa Holligan; four great-grandchildren; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife. Memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in Rockford United General Baptist Church, 3126 Marshall St., with visitation from 1 p.m. to time of service; Pastor Noah Alsup will officiate.
