Alice M. Wallace, 78 of Rockford, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021. Born May 17, 1943, in Rockford, the daughter of Carl and Edith (Nilsson) Peterson. Graduate of Rockford East High School. Alice married Gary W. Wallace on December 4, 1965 in Rockford. He predeceased her on May 10, 2018. Alice worked for Avon and in the accounting departments of Tool Form, Estwing, State Farm Insurance and several other area businesses. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was involved in W.O.W and taught Sunday School. Alice was also a member of Forest Hills Women’s Bowling League and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She was a Chicago Cubs fan and loved to garden and plant flowers. Most of all she loved her family and grandchildren.

Survived by her children, Mark (Shannon) Wallace and Melissa (Aaron) Stein; and grandchildren, Bryson (Rebekah) Wallace, Garrett Wallace and Makayla and Mason Stein. Also predeceased by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Olson North Main Chapel, 2811 N. Main St., Rockford with Reverend Scott Hale officiating. Visitation will be from 10: 00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the chapel. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Croix Hospice, 3815 N. Mulford Rd.
