She was the proud mother of Susan Caldwell, Mequon, WI; Nancy Milne, Williston, VT; and Sally (Al) Ferguson, Milwaukee, WI. Kathie was predeceased by Dick, her husband of 62 years, sons-in-law Jim Caldwell and Jonathan Milne.
Kathie was born in Rockford, Illinois and was a true Swede down to the cardamon cookies. Kathie was a graduate of Rockford East High School and Northwestern University School of Nursing. She met Dick while working at Evanston Hospital when he visited his boss. They lived in Evanston for 2 years and moved to Glendale where she was active in PTA and Girl Scouts.
