Obituary

Anna M. Bailey, 89, of Rockford, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, in Provena Cor Mariae Center. Born July 20, 1922, in Chicago; the daughter of Henry and Lucy (Brinigar) Laechelt. Received her teaching certificate from Northern Illinois University. She married William J. Bailey June 12, 1943, in Marengo. He predeceased her Nov. 21, 2001. Member of Roscoe United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Carol (Roger) McCoy of Escondido, Calif., Richard (Laura) Bailey of Raleigh, N. C., Tom (Diane) Bailey of Rockford, Gail Bailey of Gilbert, Ariz., and Curtis (Michelle) Bailey of O"Fallon, Mo.; grandchildren, Jason and John Bailey of Raleigh, N.C., Kelli (Josh) Oman of Rockford, and Tyler Bailey of O"Fallon, Mo.; great-grandchildren, MacKenna and Aubrie Oman; brother, Lee Laechelt of Villa Park, Ill.; brother-in-law, Louis Schacht of Marengo; sister-in-law, Iona Clifford of Marengo; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband; daughter, Marcia MacLaren; and sister, Myrna Schacht. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 2nd Ave, with Rev. Don Dexheimer officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. prior to the service in the funeral chapel.
