Jill A. Johnson, 53
Loves Park- Jill A. Johnson, 53, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born June 22, 1962, in Rockford, the daughter of John F. & Janet (Hough) Miller. Graduated from Rockford West High School. Later received her MSW from Aurora University. Married Thomas Johnson in Rockford on April 4, 1998. She worked for Dr. Marianne Geiger, Clinic of Psychiatric Care for many years as an LCSW. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and her dogs Holly and Macy.
Survivors include husband Thomas; son John C. Carlson (special friend Leah Kopp-Crabb); daughters Elisabeth K, and Abigail A. Johnson; brother Jon M. (Gloria) Miller; step-parents Roland Gudie and Jean Miller; best friend Colleen Bumgarner and her family Andy and Alex; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and grandparents.
Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111. Visitation 6 – 8 pm Monday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, 61108 and from 10 a.m until time of mass on Tuesday at church.
