Obituary

dalla Smith, nick-named "Date" by her little sister, Kay, passed away on the morning of August 25, 2026, at the advanced age of 91 yrs old, and after a long and industrious life, working, helping, serving side by side with the Love of her life and husband of 70+ years, David.

Her memory sometimes failed her, but she never failed to remember that she loved and was loved by her Mom and Dad, Lucy and Howard, her Mommy and Daddy Glass, and her dear husband, Dave, that preceded her at the end of December. Jeff and Steve, her twin sons, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren will agree that Idalla was one of the strongest, feistiest, and most courageous woman that ever came out of Benton, Illinois. And obviously, she has passed along some of these characteristics to her family.

Idalla is basking in the perfect Love of her Lord, and Savior Jesus, and no tear no pain will ever mare the joy that is now, hers forever.
