Obituary

Jason Vernon Hogan 1929—2020
Jason Vernon Hogan, 91, husband of Charlotte Hoover Hogan died peacefully at home on December 18, 2020. Jason was born in Rockford, IL, on April 25, 1929, the youngest son of Daniel and Merle Funk Hogan. After graduating from West High School in Rockford, Jason worked for Peterson Battery and Electric for 44 years, retiring in 1991. While driving around the east side "looking for girls" Jason found and married the love of his life, Charlotte Hoover, on January 14, 1950. The holidays with family were always fun, hosted for many years at their home. He's remembered as fun, outgoing and always willing to pick up a ball and play games with the kids. Upon retirement he found time to play several hundred rounds of golf with his brother-in-law, Doug Hoover before sinking that last putt and moving on to puzzle making with Charlotte, who would have to quietly fix his little mistakes.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Janet McGinn and his brother Gerald Hogan. Jason is survived by his wife of 70 years, Charlotte; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ted Lindstrom of Belvidere, IL; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Adrienne Hogan of Travelers Rest, SC; and his grand-daughters, Nancy Bradley of San Francisco, CA, and Monica Hogan of Boston, MA, plus numerous nieces and nephew
