Obituary

Odessa P. Dahlgren, 95, of Rockford, passed away on March 12, 2022. Born April 25, 1926, in Granville, IL, the daughter of Christian and Thelma (Mowell) Wold. Graduate of Dixon High School, Class of 1944. Odessa married Marshall Dahlgren on June 24, 1948 at Salem Lutheran Church. He predeceased her in 1996. She worked for Dr. Darland before retiring in 1990. Odessa was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and Salem Lutheran Church where she was part of the choir, altar guild and taught Sunday school.

Survived by her brother, Christian Wold; brother in law, Wayne Dahlgren; nephew, Eric Wold; nieces, Kristin Wold, Lisa Stevens and Danik Wold; and many nieces and nephews on the Dahlgren side of the family. Also predeceased by her parents; and daughter, Marsha Dahlgren; and brother, Donald Wold. A special thank you to Steven Meyers and nephew, Mark Dahlgren who both spent much time with Odessa the last couple of years.
