Obituary

Christine Victoria Dougherty, 80, of Rockford, died on January 23, 2022 after a short illness. Born on May 18, 1941, in Rockford, the daughter of Edward and Alice (Anderson) Reskis. She married Ronald W. Dougherty. Christine was an avid gardener and traveler who lived life on her own terms.

She is survived by sons, Kevin, Kelly, and Brian Dougherty; sisters, Karen (Tess) Ray and Elizabeth (Beth) Elrick; grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald W. Dougherty; and sons, Michael and Patrick.
