CHRISTELLE LYNN MAGGIO, 56 "CHILD OF CHRIST" ROCKFORD - Christelle Lynn Maggio, 56, formerly of Rockford, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, May 2, 2013, following a short battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born Oct. 3, 1956, in Rockford; the daughter of Erick A. and Betty M. (Anderson) Haglund. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Mosaic Church in Rockford. She is survived by her children, Jon (Jamie) Cordes of Oregon, Ill., Brian Cordes of Loves Park, Rebekah (Shawn) Putnam of Rockford, and Anthony Maggio III of Rockford; grandchildren, Jayden and Jocelyn Cordes, Brian Jr. and Marissa Cordes, Peyton Putnam, and Zayn and Landyn Maggio; parents, Erick and Betty Haglund; siblings, Kurt (Ann) Haglund of Chevy Chase, Md., Cheryl Moberg of Rockford, and Karl (Jessica) Haglund of Rockville, Md.; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Christelle's special friends, Dana and Clay Bethuy and Jill Beeman for their love and care, and to the staff of OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with Rev. David Spooner and Rev. Jay Quinn officiating. Visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Rockford Rescue Mission, 715 W. State St., Rockford, IL 61102; or to the family for a memorial to be established later
