Obituary

Linda Jo Labuguen, 74, of Rockford, died on Sunday, February 23, 2020. Born on March 28, 1945, in Rockford, the daughter of George and Gladys (Eskridge) Smith. Graduate of East High School, class of 1963. Linda married Franklin Labuguen on April 2, 1976. He predeceased her on January 6, 1995. She was a cook at Stockholm Inn for 20 years, and worked in food service for 40 plus years. Linda was also a Waterfront volunteer since 1983. Volunteer at Rockford Memorial Hospital and also the Rockford Public Library. She was an active member of Tabor Lutheran Church and First Lutheran Church, she loved singing in the choir.

Survived by her sons, Jason and Matthew Labuguen; grandchildren, Tyler and Gavin Labuguen, and Alex Getty; brother, Jeff Smith; nephew, Ron Kresa. Predeceased by her siblings, Dale, Janet, and Carol Smith.

Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial at Scandinavian Cemetery. Memorial may be made to in care of the family.
